Fabrication work is set to begin on the giant Fast4Ward® MPF hull for ExxonMobil’s Payara Development offshore Guyana that will see the Prosperity FPSO pushing total oil production in the South American country to more than 500,000 bpd by 2024.
SBM Offshore, the company contracted by ExxonMobil to construct, install and operate the vessel, said in a Q3 trading update last week that work is progressing as planned and the project team is preparing for the start of fabrication in Singapore.
